Is it healthy to have colonic irrigation?
Posted by: Peg : Category: Colonic Irrigation
Not really.Colonic irrigation is an alternative therapy , and costs between £40 and £75 privately, there is no real medical evidence to prove that it is effective. Some people swear it can help with conditions including bloating, wind, diarrhoea, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), allergies, indigestion, constipation , You'd be better spending your money on a healthier diet and some probiotic yoghurt.

Not too often as it can affect the "good" microbes that live in the colon, which can lead to problems. Once a year or so won't hurt anything unless you have a very sensitive system.

apparently so!
It clears out the slimey toxins that collect in your intestines that pooping doesn't shift.
It's only warm, distilled water they use so it can't be all bad.
I'm afraid its a step too far for me though…….

Only if you have a history of constipation or poor bowel movement, otherwise,in reasonable health, your body is quite capable of dealing with toxins etc.
Colonic irrigation became something of a fad along with detox,I thought it had died out in favour of cosmetic surgery.
Another invasive,money making hard sell.
