Will you release the same amount of toxins at home eventually? Is professional hydrotherapy really worth the money?
Likely both are a waste of time. Just do it naturally with an high fiber diet.

Colonic Irrigation
Does anybody know what colonic irrigation is?
Having your colon flushed with warm water. Also called colon cleansing. Some doctors advise against it but natural healers swear by it. A small tube is inserted into your colon and warm water passes thru the tube to your colon, once your colon is full it will start to expel the warm water and old food, worms and other particles out of your colon.
I did this once and noticed more energy, my skin was more healthy looking and I lost about 3 inches from my waist.

I am worrying myself sick over having this done but need to before I can have the ileostom reversed. Hope there is someone out there who can help.
gastrograph (gas·tro·graph) (gas´tro-graf) [gastro- + -graph] an apparatus for recording the motions of the stomach. This is the only definition I could find in a medical dictionary. I would have to say that an gastrograph enema would measure the volume and motility of the bowel. Hope this helps.

Colonic Irrigation
I had a friend who did it and was pleased with the results. I plan on having one done when I go back to the states in May.
While it is possible to loose weight from the procedure, this is not the main goal. The main goal of the procedure is to remove parasites from the colon.
Colonic irrigation is also known as hydrotherapy of the colon, high colonic, entero-lavage, or simply colonic. It is the process of cleansing the colon by passing several gallons of water through it with the use of special equipment. It is similar to an enema but treats the whole colon, not just the lower bowel. This has the effect of flushing out impacted fecal matter, toxins, mucous, and even parasites, that often build up over the passage of time. It is a procedure that should only be undertaken by a qualified practitioner.
The cost of colonic irrigation treatments varies, but is generally between $35-70 per session, which may last from 45 minutes to one hour.

I'm not asking if it's preferable or if it's healthy. I know it's not. I'm just asking whether it's particularly detrimental.
On top of everything else everyone said - It can deplete you of nutrients and water your body needs. It will also cause the muscles of you intestines not to work and then you will be dependent upon laxatives for the rest of your life. You can however take a fiber supplement. So to answer your question yes it is detrimental.

Enema
It is all I have and I am really constipated and feel too uncomfortable to go to the store.
OK thank you, I am sure it is safe enough. I will let you know if it stings.
I forgot to say that the douche was disposable and purchased from the store. It had a mild tingle but was not uncomfortable and did the job well. I felt much better.
Yes. It should be 3 parts water 1 part vinegar. That should be mild enough for your body to handle.

Colonic Irrigation
I have read online that having the colon cleaned out is great for health. I have also read that it is uneccessary and can even be harmful. So which is true? Is it good for you or totally unnecessary?
Unnecessary and potentially harmful. High pressure water can cause damage to the colon.

Colonic Irrigation
Is there someone that can actually recommend somewhere?
just ask any nurse to do it for you. They are the experts. Actually we call them bowel washouts and they are not funny. Why would you want one anyway. If you need a good clean out then buy a FLEET enema at the chemist and follow the instructions.
