My uncle is into new age therapies and says I should try an enema, only he wants to do the procedure?

Posted by: Peg  :  Category: Enema

I mean Im 14 and Ive heard that apparently its supposed to really clean up your bodies and be refreshing, so from that point of view I dont mind it, but I feel uncomfortable about him doing the procedure.

When I asked him if I should ask my parents first he told me not to be silly and made me feel stupid for even mentioning it.

What should I do?

My chili doesn’t look so appetizing now.

Is there any way to give yourself a home enema without store-bought equipment?

Posted by: Peg  :  Category: Enema

Yeah.
Just wondering.

Spiffy, do not attempt to give yourself an enema unless you have the proper equipment. You run the risk of doing serious damage to yourself. An enema bag or bulb is available at any drug store in disposable or reusable containers for about 79 cents to 12 dollars.

if you are giving an enema , how many inches should the enema bag be raised above the mattress?

Posted by: Peg  :  Category: Enema

1. if you are giving an enema bag how many inches should the enema bag be raised above the mattress?

2.which statement is true
a exercise stimulates peristalsis (b) aging causes peristalsis to increse {c) gas forming foods stimulate peristalsis (d) illness and medication can affect bowel movement ?

1). The bag should be 18" above entry point, unless you are into self abuse or something like that, then it can be put up higher, just the higher it is, the faster the water will flow and therefore could become uncomfortable faster.

2). a. true, b. false, c. true, d. true.

How does enema work? the "external laxative'?

Posted by: Peg  :  Category: Enema

Does anyone know what i'm talking about?
This medication is a liquid in an eyedrop like tube– its injection into the rectum and helps consitpation

so the question is what are the principles behind this –meaning how does it work?

you introduce a irritant to the bowel in liquid form so that the intestine spasms and allows fecal matter that may have accumulated or that is stuck to move along in the lower intestine. you can buy kits at your local drugstore. those red water bottles have a enema attachment if you buy the right (or wrong) one so that an enema can be applied at home. and as weird as it sounds you can find many recipes for health/cleansing online.

I Had one and it felt fine. Of course, I was hurting really badly before. If you have severe constipation, it's worth it.
