Where does one have a colonic irrigation in Bangalore?
bunghole, same as anywhere else

As an R.N. I find the hot water bottle with short tip inadequate and the plastic bucket used years ago in the hospital expensive and difficult to find.
Go to OptimalHealthNetwork.com and you'll find all kinds of enema equipment including different types of bags, larger nozzles, retention and inflatable nozzles and tubes which reach higher up into the colon. Good luck.
I know it has something to do with the vagus nerve, I think. Is this right?
Yes , it is a vago-vagal reaction. Just like when people faint at the sight of blood. the vagus nerve provides parasympathetic input to the heart. Parasympathetic stimulation decreases heart rate, decreases force of contraction and these effects can lower blood pressure too. This happens becaue during the enema, you are stimulating the digestive tract which has alot of parasympathetic input from the Vagus and other nerves.
Apparently having this procedure done does not result in weight loss. However, there appears to be many other conditions that will improve after colonic irrigation.
Anyone suffering from gas, bloating, cramping pains, acne and other skin complaints, arthritis, and a list of bowel complaints such as diverticulitis and irritable bowel etc., may benefit from colonic irrigation. In particular, cancer patients are often advised to undertake a course of colonic irrigation sessions as an essential part of their treatment.
Removing large amounts of toxic matter relieves the patient and can lead to the alleviation of symptoms such as arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, candidiasis, and a host of other illnesses.
Incomplete elimination of body wastes may result in the following, depending on where the deposits end up:
sluggish system
joint pain and arthritis
irritable bowel syndrome
diverticulitis
Crohn's disease
leaky gut syndrome
heart problem
migraine
allergies
bad breath
acne and other skin problems such as psoriasis
asthma
early senility and Alzheimer's disease
chronic fatigue syndrome
cancer, particularly of the bowel
multiple sclerosis
I am being Induced in 3 days and for the past couple of weeks I have had loose stools. Im not sure if it is diarrhea but I do get the upset stomach and feeling of I HAVE TO GO NOW!! I know that this can be a sign of labor but nothing yet! I really dont want to have to worry about having diarrhea during labor so is it ok for me to take imodium the day before and the day of labor? Does it make you constipated at all? I have heard of some hospitals not letting you go home until you made a bowel movement so I dont want to make myself constipated! So does this stuff really work that well? Also, I was reading about enemas so you dont go while pushing the baby out…are hospitals still doing this? Thanks to any and all answers/tips!
Please do not take immodium before labor…sorry, but it is stupid to be vain like that. I was in labor for my first child for 49 hours, and pushed for almost 2…I believe I poo-ed but TRUST ME….its not embarassing, after passing gas several times while the dr. is 'down there' and accidentally kicking the nurse in the head..it is something the doctors deal with on a regular basis…immodium can cause extra gas aswell…you will be a lot more comfortable if you just let "flow" Plus, if you are in labor, you may very well sit on the toilet…and if your there, if you've got loose bowels…just all the better:)
i am constipated for almost 6 days.
Usually, the SS enema is administered ideally while laying on one's left side. This is due to the anatomy of the rectum. However, for evacuation or defecation; there's no spcified position to sit on the toilet. Next time, try to eat a lot of fiber and roughage esp in the forms of grains, fruits and vegetables. Also, drink a lot of fluids. This way, your BM becomes regular and less straining. This will also prevent hemorrhoids.
Being constipated for 6 days is a long time. The longer the waste products stay in the colon, the harder the stools become, as the water is absorbed. Besides, constipation gives you a sense of bloatiness, fullness, stomach cramping; and anxious. it might even give you a headache, as the toxins build up.
It's a wash out.
My 4-month old baby won't poop. I have taken her into the ped several times for this. She is breastfed only right now. Her stools are soft. The ped said her anatomy is perfect, there is nothing wrong. Her muscles are a little tight down there, and the only way I can get her to poo is to use a q-tip every 3 days. The juice and caro syrup do nothing. The enema only gets a little bit out. She is happy and eating well. Am I just worrying about nothing here? I get nervous when she doesn't go every 3 days because I don't want her to be miserable. But I hate doing the q-tip thing and it's the only way she goes! Has anybody ever had this happen?
my daughter is 3- months old. at first i thought she was not eating enough, but the ped told me that breast feed babies may not go but once a week. she eats well, is happy and healthy. and she still does not go but maybe twice a week. and sometimes it is not impressive. do not worry.have you tried baby massage? just massage the belly area.or lay her over your left arm, head near the crook of your elbow, on her stomach, stomach in your hand and rub the stomach, the baby will fart dead in your face, but if anything is in there it is comming OUT. the q-tip thing would get me too. i hope that helps.
My husband suffers with constipation and has to have an enema to shift it. He is sick and tired of getting the nurse out to do it for him and want to get his own kit. Any idea's where I can get for him, he is in a lot of pain and sometimes has to wait days for the nurse to come. Do any of the chemists sell them if so which ones?
All chemists will sell them - but you don't want reusable, you want disposable. Talk to your doctor about doing them at home.
does it do what it says on the packet - i.e. clean your colon and keep you healthy and regular?
Yes, I have tried them, and yes, they will definitely clean your colon. As far as keeping you healthy and regular, that is open for discussion.
An occasional enema never hurts and can also help you to stay regular but if you abuse the use of enemas the the opposite will occur. They can be detrimental to your health if used too often and can make you become dependant on them in order to relieve yourself.
If you like them and want to use them occassionaly, then go ahead, just be careful.
Good luck.
